Museum Meditation Experience NYC Museum Guide Gene Seidman

Gene Seidman

 Meet Your Guide

Gene Seidman is a lifelong art lover, dealer, and advocate with decades of experience in the art world. A trusted advisor, auctioneer, and gallery owner in New York City, he specializes in blue-chip works by icons like Picasso, Haring, Basquiat, Rothko, and Warhol, offering access to rare, investment-grade pieces. Known for his transparency in a $67 billion global market, Gene combines technology, connoisseurship, and forensics to ensure confidence in every transaction.

But for Gene, art is more than a commodity—it’s a gateway to connection, emotion, and self-discovery. This belief inspired the Museum Meditation Experience. At The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Gene curates immersive tours that blend art appreciation with mindfulness, inviting participants to slow down, observe deeply, and connect with masterpieces on a personal level.

“Art is a mirror,” Gene says. “It reflects our emotions, struggles, and joys. The Museum Meditation Experience helps people slow down, breathe, and connect—not just with art, but with themselves.”

Whether guiding collectors, advocating for arts funding as an Ambassador for New Yorkers for Culture and Arts, or leading meditation tours at The Met and MoMA, Gene’s mission is the same: to help people see art not just with their eyes, but feel it with their hearts.
